Description

KBR is recruiting full-time Model-based Systems Engineers (MBSE) for current and future contracts.  Engineers with MBSE experience are needed to create system models, teach systems modeling, and provide MBSE consultation and advice.  Those hired against this position will be part of a high-powered team of MBSE experts, practitioners, and trainees supporting a variety of KBR contracts.  KBR offers a generous, well-rounded benefits package.

Job Duties:

Develop system models for Air Force, Space Force and Joint Force customers supporting air, ground, sea, space, and cyber systems

Advance the state-of-the-art in systems modeling by developing executable system models

Integrate physics-based models, cost models, and logistics models with system models to assess system performance and systems engineering "ilities"

Create and execute system data collection plans (including aggregating data from multiple sources) to support the development of system models

Take direction from task leads and collaborate with fellow team members

Interact professionally with KBR customers

Develop MBSE curriculum and teach MBSE at the seminar, short course, certificate, bachelors and/or graduate degree levels

Required Qualifications:

Must have and maintain, or be able to obtain and maintain, a Department of Defense Common Access Card, including favorable completion of a National Agency Check

Must have experience with MBSE methods, languages, and tools.  Cameo Systems Modeler, SysML, and OOSEM experience are preferred.

Must possess a 4-year ABET-accredited bachelor's master's, or doctoral degree in a technical discipline

Must have documented technical writing and effective verbal communication skills with a desire to teach MBSE

Demonstrated ability to work well as a team, both in-person and on-line

Experience using video teleconferencing software such as MS Teams and Adobe Connect

Strong desire to continuously learn and advance MBSE methods, languages, and tools

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

Air Force or DoD experience as military, government civilian, or defense contractor

Demonstrated writing and presentation skills

Demonstrated short course, undergraduate, and/or graduate teaching ability

Experience developing technical curriculum

OMG OCSMP (OCSMP MBA desired) and INCOSE CSEP certification

Experience integrating system modeling tools with other engineering tools (e.g., AFSIM)

Experience conducting model-based trade studies

Experience responding to model-based RFI / RFQ / RFP

Python, Java, Javascript, and/or MATLAB programming experience in support of and/or integrated with systems modeling

AWS GovCloud software installation and programming experience

AFSIM and/or STK modeling experience

Experience developing MBSE styleguides, validation suites, and/or MBSE policy/processes

Experience with modern architectural frameworks such as UAF, DoDAF, and/or UPDM

Experience with systems modeling languages such as SysML, UML, OPM, LML, etc.

Familiarity with SysML 2.0

Experience creating content and updating content on learning management systems such as Canvas (Instructure)

Experience applying agile processes, especially in support of system modeling efforts

Security Requirements:

Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly
