Research Analyst II
Cox Media Group Analyst is responsible for delivering high quality data-based insights that meet CMG needs. Preferred candidates will have exposure to different research solutions used for CMG analytics, such as traditional media analytics, quantitative methods, qualitative methods, and social media/digital analytics. This individual will partner with other research team members to develop research projects requested from both internal & external clients, including, solution designs, technical implementations, dashboards, etc.
Analyzes daily research data to be used by content & sales teams, including analysis of competitive performance for two markets
Prepares high quality, easy-to-understand, insightful presentations consistent with CMGO and client standards
Responsible for geo analysis & hot zip code reporting
Prepares weekly audience flow (quarter hour and minute-by-minute) information
Reviews technical logs daily, conducts ratings analysis and submits programming lineup changes to Nielsen within deadline
Assists with maintenance of sales inventory

Skills and Qualifications
Competence with Microsoft Office, expert-level proficiency with Excel & PowerPoint is essential
Experience with media-specific software is a plus (e.g., Nielsen Arianna, Nielsen NLTV, Scarborough (PrimeLingo), Claritas Segmentation & Market Solutions (SMS), Wide Orbit, Leigh Stowell, Kantar, etc.), as well as digital analytics software Google Analytics & Tableau
Mandatory Skills and Background:
Bachelor's degree in relevant subject from reputable university
Strong computer skills (including expertise in Microsoft Office products--Excel and PowerPoint).
Team player who can prioritize projects and manage his/her own workload
Flexible, enthusiastic attitude, willing to pitch in when required to get the job done
Ability to work in a collaborative environment and make innovative contributions
Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English
Willingness to travel when needed
Professional experience in broadcast media (TV, radio & social/digital) a plus
Experience using research & digital measurement software a plus
