Duties: Oversee the collection and documentation of detailed requirements as requirements key for moderate to highly complex projects and applications. Understand overall scope and business objectives for a project/program. Conduct benefit analysis/defining ROI and identifying organizational impacts including stakeholders. Drive alignment among stakeholders for scope and requirements, and ensure the technical solution meets the business need. Understand and apply the different types of source requirements to user stories appropriately, including functional, non-functional, data, screen, reporting requirements, and use cases. Elicit information from business and technical resources to create comprehensive, reusable requirements artifacts and user stories (including acceptance criteria). Ensure requirements are traced to business objective and design and test artifacts. Create product backlog by elaborating stories based on prioritization. Coach, mentor, coordinate, and oversee the work of other Solution Analysts on the project. Participate in reviews and walkthroughs of requirements documents, design documents, and test artifacts. Provide requirements support during development and testing effort.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer engineering, business, or related field plus 36 months of experience in information technology, 24 months collecting, analyzing, designing, and supporting technical and business-related project activities, and 24 months coordinating work of requirements resources. Also requires: demonstrated skill in writing user stories in an agile environment; demonstrated understanding of the relationship between requirements and testing; demonstrated ability to participate in UAT testing and walkthrough with users and business stakeholders; comprehensive understanding of requirement types (functional, non-functional, information, reporting) and when to use different types and techniques; demonstrated ability to convey key messages in business and technical terms; demonstrated ability to create business plans and requirements documentation, including requirements specifications and user stories; and advanced proficiency in MS Visio, Guidewire, XML, SQL, data mapping, web services, and Jira.
