Responsible for correct registration of patients into the hospital system, distribution of appropriate forms and notices, checking medical necessity criteria and authorizations for services. Scans patient information into system, mans switchboard, and Central Scheduling duties as applicable.
Requirements: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent, work well with the public, possess good telephone etiquette and computer knowledge, and have the ability to multi-task. Previous office experience, insurance knowledge and knowledge of medical terminology is desirable.
