Purpose:  The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for the management of all assembly related operations relative to Welding, Paint and Assembly on 2nd Shift.

 

Responsibilities / Authority:

Provide support and training to managers and supervisors, to meet or exceed plant measurables

Coordinate schedules and manpower assignments to meet production requirements

Communicate issues to maintenance, tooling and material handling departments for optimum run time and to minimize downtime

Coordinate daily with assembly and fabrication leadership

Work with human resources to resolve conflicts, problems and promote a safe working environment while also maintaining compliance with all plant safety policies and OSHA regulations

Maintain quality and production standards following all ISO 9000 and company procedures

Develop teamwork while mentoring supervisors and zone leaders

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required

College degree or 5 years Manufacturing experience in tooling, stamping, welding, painting or Assembly

Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience

Trouble shooting and problem-solving skills (8D)

Knowledge of robotics and welding a plus

Experience in project management

Ability to inspire and motivate others

Strong interpersonal skills to interact with other departments

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to use Microsoft Office applications
