Primary Purpose: The Registered Nurse (RN) is an individual who holds a current state license to practice nursing. The practice of nursing requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide care to groups and individuals. The RN utilizes knowledge derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. The care is culturally based and age specific. Knowledge and Skills:

Education: Associate's degree, minimum required. Bachelor's degree, preferred.

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

License and Certification: Current Ohio RN License.

Years of Experience:

Provides care and hemodynamic monitoring of critically ill patients. Communicates needs of the patient to the multidisciplinary team and assists in the development of the plan of care. Assists communication with patients/families and the multidisciplinary team.
  • 1-3 years of critical care experience with Step Down or ICU level of care
  • Advanced assessment skills
  • Experience with titration of vasoactive, sedative and paralytic infusions
  • Experience with care and monitoring of patients requiring ventilator support
  • Resource to the central monitoring unit
  • Responds to Code Blue and Rapid Responses
