About the role:
As the IT Server Manager at TQL, you'll be leading an elite group of engineers that focus on building, maintaining and supporting our IT Infrastructure. We are not your typical back-office IT team - you'll have exposure to all-levels of the IT and business organizations in order to cultivate success in your team. What you'll be doing:
  • Recruits, hires and manages systems & infrastructure teams with multi-disciplined technical staff
  • Manages, develops, motivates and coaches staff to continually deliver cutting-edge solutions for our internal and external customers
  • Provide a flawless customer experience by focusing on performance, availability and reliability
  • Prioritizes, plans, schedules and directs activities to meet deadlines, while reporting the status on multiple priorities and deadlines; contributes to long range planning and budget discussions
  • Ensures the overall technical infrastructure and support services effectively support the business needs of the organization and make is simple for customers to work with us
  • Collaborates with, educates, supports and provides tools to efficiently and effectively support users
  • Participates in system and service outages and incident recovery with a sharp focus on incident and resolution
  • Manages the creating and maintenance of an effective Disaster Recovery Plan for all TQL data processing, systems and network, supporting corporate and remote data centers and cloud hosted platforms
  • Performs advanced technical duties in support of systems & infrastructure teams and systems and infrastructure operations. Serves as a systems & infrastructure technical resource for other staff members
  • Maintains, establishes, and develops new, close and collaborative working relationships with stakeholders, customers and vendors

What you need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or IT related field
  • Proven experience managing people and leading a team
  • Experience with Cloud technologies
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels, from the new college hire engineer to an executive audience
  • Strong drive to design and build solutions utilizing and integrating a team to achieve consistently effective results
  • Desire to be on the cutting edge and willing to stay on top of the emerging technologies
  • Experience supporting multi-platform environments
