Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, has an immediate opening for a Site Supervisor position.
The Site Supervisor will be primarily responsible for all phases of operation of the Cincinnati, Ohio PHG (Prism Hydrogen Generator) and Air Separation Unit (ASU) facilities along with support of other Air Products assets in the area. The chosen candidate will need to obtain an understanding of all facets of the sites' responsibilities (plant operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and customer communications) with a specific focus on leadership and operating skills at this facility. The site is operated and maintained by one person.
A Generated Gases Site Supervisor must be self-motivated, safety conscious, a good communicator and possess good organization, operating, and mechanical skills.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
Commitment to safety including Basic Safety Performance (BSP) compliance and process safety management.
Promotion and support of customer relations through effective communications.
Completion of all administrative responsibilities for the site.
Support all aspects of the day-to-day operation, including:
Troubleshooting plant process or mechanical problems, coordinating maintenance activities, driving plant efficiency and plant projects.
24/7 on-call responsibilities for response to plant alarms and shutdowns.
Identifying maintenance concerns, developing, and implementing corrective/preventive measures while working within planned maintenance budgets.
Working and communicating regularly and effectively with the North America Operating Service Center (OSC), asset manager, regional maintenance manager, tech support team, PHG Operations Line Manager and ASU Management Team.
Candidates will be evaluated on the following:
A track record of success in EH&S and Quality.
A self-starter with validated leadership abilities. Self-led and highly motivated to plan and ensure the completed execution of all tasks required by our safety, environmental and engineering standards.
Experience with operation of steam methane reformer (SMR) Hydrogen plants and/or Air Separation Units (ASUs) is a plus but not a specific requirement as training will be provided for the successful candidate.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently but equally able to work effectively in a team environment.
Demonstrated computer literacy skills
High School diploma or equivalent.
Two- or four-year degree in a technical field a plus, but not required.
2 years of relevant operations experience is preferred.
Team player that is flexible with a positive attitude.
Must be willing to work alone.
Must be able to climb ladders and steps and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Elevated work required.
