Contract Customer Service Rep
# of Openings:
Act as customer/plant liaison to provide information and assistance when necessary. Coordinate customer requirements and communicate any changes with scheduling and materials, production, outside processors and trucking companies. Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Quality, Tooling, Production, Cost Estimating, Project Management and Accounts Receivable on associated customer issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Communicate effectively with internal and external customers acting as the voice of the customer.
Analyze customers short and medium range requirements with scheduling and materials to ensure timely response to customer's needs.
Communicate customer's needs/priorities to all levels of the organization by highlighting potential shortages/problems in the morning meeting, as well as, through making individuals within the organization aware as needed.
Provide problem resolution to customer in a timely manner.
Communicate with Shiloh Industries sales force and solicit their advice and assistance in resolving any customer's issues.
Coordinate and follow-up with suppliers on out-of-plant processing, such as plating, heat treating, to ensure timely deliveries of said parts.
Manage all associated traffic responsibilities, including customer designated carriers.
Participate on Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) teams as needed.
Daily updating and filing of customers releases, shipping manifests, expediting freight charges, and on-time delivery date.
Act as customer/company liaison, gathering and distributing all pertinent information, such as changes to shipping schedules, container requirements, holiday schedules and shut downs. Coordinate with customer to ensure timely availability/return of customer supplied containers.
Record and track On-time delivery performance. Where assigned, chart monthly On-time and associated reasons for Past Due situations. Record and track expediting Freight costs. Where assigned, chart monthly freight deemed the responsibility and associated reasons.
Work within customer online portal

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Prefer candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in Business.
Abilities (i.e. Language Skills, Reasoning Ability, Computer Skills)
Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Must have a professional demeanor. Must have a working knowledge of BAAN, Tag Tracking and Microsoft Office tools. Must be able to function with a minimum of supervision. Must have an understanding of operating procedures in a manufacturing environment.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Good written and verbal communication skills required. i.e., language skills, mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, communication, etc.)
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to implement win-win solutions
Excellent written and oral communication skills, group presentation skills, communication skills and computer proficiency (including Excel and Word).
A self-starter with the ability to work independently as needed.
Ability to function in a high-pressure environment and to meet stringent deadlines for completing tasks.
Ability to lift and carry approximately 20lbs (occasional 50lbs).
Ability to operate a personal computer
