Responsible for ordering and tracking overall inventory through the UH Oracle System, for the laboratory.
Responsible for maintaining inventory, including but not limited to receiving, unpacking, storing appropriately by temperature and rotating stock by expiration date, tracking usage and supply costs, distributing and replenishing supplies for the laboratory.
Responsible for keeping supply areas neat and orderly in order to permit the accurate monitoring of supply volume.
Serves as customer service liaison between Laboratories and Material management and other vendors relative to supply items and is responsible for maintaining communications with designated vendors and lab staff in order to ensure timely and accurate information flow regarding shortages, outages, overstock, and other inventory problems and concerns
High School Diploma or GED required.
Proficient oral and written communication skills required.
Stock room, inventory, laboratory, hospital, and/or customer service experience preferred.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Demonstrated ability to use PCs and general office equipment (i.e. printers, copy machine, FAX
machine, etc.) required.
Experience with hand held computers preferre
