The Lifecycle and Expansion Program Intern is responsible for supporting ENGIE's Capital Projects team, concentrated on lifecycle and expansion projects for The Ohio State University's Utility System. The ideal candidate has an interest in obtaining practical experience within energy infrastructure and should be enrolled in an undergraduate program. This position will be located on The Ohio State University campus in Columbus, Ohio and will report to the Program Manager.

The internship work term will be from October 25th, 2021 - on or around March 1st, 2022, 10 hours per week minimum. Additional hours and/or weeks may be available based on business needs and will be discussed in advance with your supervisor.

What you'll do:


Feasibility assessments, development of approval documentation, assist in the procurement of design and construction services, review design plans, and attending design meetings
Potential project work that will cover infrastructure and utility equipment upgrades, expansion planning and implementation and engineering acumen to support similar areas
Rotation between Lifecycle and Expansion Capital Projects to assist on specific projects set by program managers
Assist the Capital Projects team as assigned

 
Qualifications
What you bring:


Currently enrolled in an undergrad program; enrollment in your junior or senior year is preferred
A 3.0 GPA is a preference
Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
Negotiating skills and general business acumen (including technical, legal, commodity risk, quantitative and economic analysis skills)
Demonstrated ability to take initiative
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills
