Currently we are seeking a senior director of corporate development and strategy in Sherwin-Williams Corporate Development & Strategy group (CD&S). CD&S works closely with SW Corporate, Group and Divisional resources to develop and implement strategic analysis and execute acquisition and divestitures that support the Company's strategy.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide key leadership and manage all aspects of the transactional process including but not limited to the following: company identification, profiling and evaluation of target companies, valuation and other relevant financial analyses, due diligence management, preparation and presentation of management approval presentations, contract negotiations and integration process management.
Should posess the ability to identify, assign and manage towards solutions key deal issues.
Provide analytical support to chosen strategic focus areas through market, competitive and financial analysis; ensure consistent analytical methodologies are applied for all strategic analysis performed.
Continual focus on strategy and transactional process improvements and consistency within SW; M&A and Strategy process tool-kit development to promote evaluation consistency, increase deal capacity and integration execution.
Act as a key interface to group strategy leads to ensure execution of strategy milestones, progress on acquisition integration plans and manage efficient divestiture separation activities.
Manage and monitor an active list of acquisition candidates which supports SW's growth in key strategic areas.
Support the development, preparation and finalization of presentations submitted to the Board of Directors.
Work with group and divisional leads to identify, develop, and execute acquisitions.
Manage CD&S responsibilities while being an ad hoc resource for PCG strategy and acquisition related activities when capacity allows.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics. MBA, CA, CFA is a plus. Equivalent experience is acceptable.
7-12 years of financial analysis related experience.
Experience in the following areas: strategic planning, competitive industry benchmarking, acquisitions, divestitures, valuation modeling, due diligence, and integration related activities.
Demonstrated maturity in verbal and written communication with all levels of an organization, including the senior executive level.
Demonstrated strong project management capability.
Continuous process improvement mindset.
Effective problem solving and the ability to process and analyze large data sets.
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
