Job Description

Summary: Onix is currently seeking a passionate, engaging, and motivated individual to fill a position in the role of Financial Force Administrator. This person will lead the ongoing development of our FinancialForce environment. A  successful candidate will have a record of success in improving processes and adoption using Salesforce and FinancialForce. The administrator will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, develop, and deploy new business processes including but not limited to:  Sales, Finance, Order Management, specifically focusing on billing and accounting business processes. 


Location: Remote-Nationwide, Remote-Ontario, Remote-Quebec

Scope/Level of Decision Making: This is a position responsible for driving the data and operational needs of the finance team as a whole as it relates to Financial  Force. In this position, you’ll be responsible for both creating and ensuring Sales and back-office processes are followed while providing input on processes pitched from others within the company. You’ll work with Finance, Order  Management and other Onix teams to ensure that the accurate information is going into Financial Force to successfully process invoices to customers, report and track/monitor the overall financial and accounting status of our organization. As needed, you’ll work on projects and other initiatives being deployed within the  Sales, back-office teams, and other users of Salesforce. 

Primary Responsibilities:  

The Financial Force Admin is responsible for ensuring that correct processes are being followed and that a level of governance is consistent across all Onix teams within Salesforce and FinancialForce. In this role, you will be responsible for  Financial Force and other connected tools as well as how those tools integrate with each other. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of these tools, creating reports/dashboards with them, and providing overall support.  

⦁ Serve as primary system administrator for the Financial Force environment

  ⦁ Work closely with other stakeholders to maintain, document, and improve  existing processes (workflows, process builders, flows, validation rules)

 ⦁ Handle all basic administrative functions including user account  maintenance, reports, and dashboards 

⦁ Maintain documentation of FinancialForce solution design and  

configuration, gathering of new requirements, and process mapping

 ⦁ Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades 

⦁ Manage FinancialForce data feeds and other integrations 

⦁ Coordinate the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development  requests 

⦁ Work with our management team to establish suitable processes to  support administrative, development, and change management activities

 ⦁ Assist in training of new users and grow the Salesforce skill set across the  organization 

⦁ Work independently from the user base to define and document  development requirements 

Required Skills and Experience: 

⦁ Minimum 5+ years working with the Salesforce platform, working in  Lightning/Communities, Process Builder, Triggers, Visualforce, Workflows 

⦁ Experience working with the FinancialForce platform (FinancialForce  Billing Central, Accounting, Revenue Management) 

⦁ Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality

 ⦁ Sound knowledge of Finance, Accounting, and ERP fundamentals and  technical concepts 

⦁ Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude

 ⦁ Proven ability to design and implement new processes  

⦁ Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize simultaneous  requests 

⦁ Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills 

⦁ Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills and  have the ability to communicate effectively, in person and virtually at all  levels of the organization 

⦁ Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources,  reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true  needs 

⦁ Must be comfortable holding both live and recorded user training


 Preferred Skills and Experience:  

⦁ Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and/or Developer certifications(APEX class/coding, Custom coding) 

⦁ Salesforce Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certified 

⦁ Strongly preferred experience with third-party tools such as Conga  Composer and Avalara(AvaTax) as well as DLRS (Declarative Lookup  Rollup Summaries tool) 

⦁ Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps  and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and/or other content  of intermediate complexity 

⦁ A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion 

⦁ A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements 

⦁ Experience with cloud technologies (SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS)

 ⦁ Experience managing multiple salesforce environments and migrating  

functions and code between sandbox and production environments 

⦁ Understanding of cloud-based application governance models and version  control of application development 

Education: Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience 

Travel Expectation: 0-5% Domestic | 0-5% International
