Job Description

Imaging Processing Operator will pull, prepare, and scan the remaining paper files into electronic files to support the Department of Labor DFEC and Longshore program achieve their goals. This is a 1-year temporary scanning contract.

Core Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm (half-hour lunch) Monday - Friday Wages: $14.50 Hourly

Key Responsibilities (Bullets)

Monitors the day-to-day activities of the imaging process and equipment.
Preparation, Scanning, and Quality Control of all documents.
Pull claims from the central filing area and put them in a cart. When the cart is full, take it to a designated DOL employee.
Lookup each claim, print case ID, put in the file and log each case ID prepared to be scanned.
Once the file has been prepped, scanned and saved to the District's C: drive, prior to the file being uploaded to OIS review the files for accuracy.
Schedules production runs to be completed on time.
Monitors and operates the control console in accordance with operating instructions.
Responding to operating andoutput instructions.
Reviews error messages and makes corrections during operation.
Performs problem resolution by:
determining the cause of failure.
determining the best course of action to bring the system back into operation.
refers problems to the Site Manager when not capable of resolving the problem.
advising and assisting operators on procedures to correct functional problems.
notifying appropriate servicing personnel of all hardware/software difficulties.
maintaining a log of downtime on associated equipment and software.

Interacts with computer operators and customers regarding job set up, work performed, and job status to achieve desired results.
Performs related duties as assigned to best serve the Customer.

Required Qualifications (Bullets)

Able to pass a government background check and hold a public trust clearance.
Candidate must be proficient in communication in the English language (read/write)
Must be able to multitask and take direction quickly.
Ability to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Demonstrated aptitude and intelligence in mastering the operations aspects of processing systems.
Basic office skills are required. Examples of this include telephone usage, working a copier, scanner, basic written and verbalcommunication.
