About the role:
From a Cincinnati start-up, founded in 1997, to one of the largest freight brokerage firms in the nation, TQL has continued to disrupt the logistics industry. In addition to Mexico and Canada full truckload shipments, TQL Global was established in 2018 as a subsidiary of TQL, to begin our journey into becoming a leader in international logistics. As a Global Trade Compliance Associate for TQL, you will be a key part of the Trade Compliance team. In this position you will assist with ensuring compliance standards are met with all US and International trade laws and regulations. You will be supporting our compliance team in daily audits to continue the growth and development of our global trade compliance program.

What you'll be doing:
  • Aid in the development of a global trade compliance program for TQL and its subsidiaries, including TQL Global LLC, to ensure compliance with all relevant US and international trade laws, regulations and requirements are met
  • Conduct audits of import/export shipments
  • Data entry maintenance and organization of multiple systems
  • Assist with the maintenance and revision of applicable policies and procedures
  • Act as a resource regarding import, export, CTPAT and anti-corruption compliance for both internal and external customers
  • Maintain and revalidate supplier questionnaire submissions on CTPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) and FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) documents


What you need:
  • Basic understanding of International Freight Forwarding, Customs Brokerage, Global Supply Chain or related background
  • Auditing experience preferred
  • Comfortable working in multiple databases, applications and systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to deliver results under pressure and within demanding time constraints
  • Licensed Customs Broker is preferred but not required
