Summary: The Onix Cloud Professional Services (CPS) Team helps customers transform and evolve their business through the use of Google's extensive cloud services. As part of the leadership behind this entrepreneurial team, you will work with cutting-edge cloud technologies and help shape the future of how data is used in the Enterprise.
Scope/Level of Decision Making: This is an exempt position operating under limited decision-making and supervision. Position performs a variety of assigned activities, manages and guides employees to development, supports clients' escalations, and refers more complex issues to the Senior Manager as needed.
Location: Remote-Nationwide, Remote-Ontario, Remote-Quebec
Management of the SaaS Technical Deployment Consulting team (SaaSTech) at Onix
Employee development, including but not limited to, reviews, staffing, forecasting, and training.
Customer-facing technical escalation point to support Cloud/SaaS
Continue and build relationships with Google and third-party partners (i.e. CTS, BetterCloud)
Collaborate with Onix leadership to build initiatives, construct services, and generate revenue
Assisting the sales and sales engineering teams to bring new business to Onix, including but not limited to, consulting duties, SOW, and proposal reviews
Development of new or updated deployment IP and ensuring compliance based on the required Google/Onix standards
Acting as a sponsor for client projects to handle customer satisfaction and escalation
Maintain and grow deployment methodologies as it pertains to technical work within Google Workspace and other cloud-based technologies
Acquire and maintain Google Professional Collaboration Engineer Certification
Required Skills and Experience:
Has been an Onix employee for over one (1) calendar year
Must have a strong understanding of networking and mail routing concepts (e.g., DNS, IP Addressing, basic routing, network security, SPF)
Must have a great disposition working with customers and build credibility quickly performing project sponsorship
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment supporting multiple initiatives and deadlines at the same time
Must have the ability to coach and provide direction for unique situations, including providing solutions to resolve escalated issues
Experience performing Google Workspace deployment services to large enterprise organizations using the Onix & Google methodology
Experience with data migration tools and migration planning/design
Understanding of Identity and Access Management, E-discovery, and system architecture
Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally when required
Travel typically averages 25% but has spikes up and down from the average
Must be a self-starter capable of working independently
An attitude of willingness/eagerness to learn is essential
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Management experience of 2 or more years in a remote employee work environment
Experience in managing a team and employee development
Expert knowledge of Google Workspace
Experience in project management and change management
Experience working in cloud-computing solutions
Experience creating and managing technical project plans
Professional consulting experience
Experience managing or administering one or more of the following enterprise messaging platforms: Microsoft Exchange 2007 or higher; Lotus Notes 6.5.5 or higher; GroupWise 6.5 or higher
Experience administering enterprise directory structures such as Microsoft Active Directory and/or Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)
Familiarity with 3rd party MDM and SAML-based SSO solutions
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Travel Expectation: 20% Domestic. 5% International
