Vice President - Midwest Transportation

PRIME AE Group, Inc. (), a multi-faceted and rapidly growing architectural and engineering firm with 17 office locations/over 450+ employees throughout the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast and Northeast areas, is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as the Vice President | Midwest Transportation.
As the Vice President of Transportation for the Midwest region, the qualified candidate will:
Lead the Transportation operations for the current, and future, Midwest Region offices: currently Ohio (Akron, Columbus, Cincinnati), Kentucky (Lexington, Louisville, Northern Kentucky), and expansion into Indiana with full control and internal resources support/Sr. Executive support for success.
Lead the expansion of the group through pursuit of transportation-related projects (highway design, bridge design/inspection, alternative delivery) in the markets mentioned above via your existing network and extensive client outreach initiatives, attendance in and involvement in key industry organizations.
Responsibility for the development and execution of longer-term strategies including the development of the Transportation 3- and 5-year strategic plan inclusive of markets, clients, and geographies with coordination of regional operations managers.
Have experience and relationships with DOTs, MPOs, Turnpikes and large urban Clients in the states covered by the Midwest Region
Provide direction on major transportation pursuits and industry expertise to our clients.
Responsible for maintaining and enhancing relationships with current clients to ensure high quality and compliant design services, projects and other deliverables are being delivered.
Play a significant role in maintaining quality and targeted profitability on transportation projects and assisting with managing staffing and resources to ensure our transportation projects are executed with a high level of efficiency and technical excellence.
Oversight of resource planning and development to include evaluation of talent needs including support for development of technical, managerial, and supervisory skills and capabilities of Transportation team members.
Provide guidance for transportation operations and project managers with business planning, hours/revenue planning and forecasting, workshare and staff balancing, as necessary.
Recruit other qualified individuals.
Will serve as QA/QC lead when necessary, and oversight of the Transportation Quality Assurance Plan to ensure its application and consistency across all offices in the Transportation Design Group.
Be a key advocate and champion in partnership with the Executive staff for the continued program of Project Excellence Improvement initiative to drive improved overall project manager training and execution across all aspects of the project life cycle.
Play a key role in M&A - identifying companies, assisting in due diligence as part of the Executive Due Diligence team and supporting integration post-acquisition.
15+ years of transportation experience in a leadership role.
BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent (MSCE a strong plus).
PE License in PRIME AE markets - OH, KY, and Indiana desired.
Solid professional relationships with key area clients and teaming partners.
Demonstrated strategic planning for long-term business plans, including setting/measuring goals and leadership of strategic pursuits.
Solid understating of Financials including but not limited to KPI's; Revenue, Net contribution, Estimate to Complete on projects, etc.
Possess previous experience with growing revenues substantially in the transportation markets.
Ability to attract and recruit high-end talent to the organization to develop, retain, and promote.
Demonstrated experience with quality management and implementation/enforcement of QA/QC standards.
Solid client engagement experience related to direct meetings, strategy projects, and industry associations.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of traditional and alternative delivery methods to include P3 and DB projects highly desired.
Active in professional organizations, preferably having served on committees or held positions of responsibility.
Ability to travel as needed and required to manage the diverse geographic portfolio and drive organic and acquisitive growth.
M&A experience in identifying, assisting in due diligence as part of the Executive DD team and supporting integration post acquisition.
