Planner - Mechanical Maintenance, Hot Mill
Cleveland-Cliffs Cleveland Works has an immediate opening for a Planner - Mechanical Maintenance in our Hot Mill Division. The following primary position responsibilities and key position requirements are intended to provide an overview of the position, but are not all-inclusive.
The primary responsibilities of the Planner - Mechanical Maintenance include:
Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and annual mechanical maintenance activities.
Document and record all maintenance PMs in Tabware.
Develop and revise PM master plans as required.
Directly supervise the hourly mechanical scheduler.
Plan and assign daily work assignments for MTM crafts.
Conduct a daily safety contact with MTMs.
Conduct and document in MTS monthly safety videos & contacts.
Order over required stock parts as needed.
Plan and schedule contractor crafts for HSM maintenance and provide proper Union notification.
Temporarily fill in for the Mechanical Process Managers.
Follow and enforce all safety regulations.
Make sound decisions based upon available information.
Be willing to work in a heavy industrial environment and have a basic understanding of electrical & mechanical systems and, be willing to learn and become proficient with HSM equipment.
Associates degree (Mechanical) or at least five (5) years of experience in mechanical maintenance or maintenance planning.
In lieu of an Associates degree, candidate must have at least five (5) years of experience in maintenance planning.
Must have knowledge in Microsoft Office and basic PC skills.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technology
Hot mill or other rolling mill experience is preferred as well as exposure to union contractors.
