As a Desktop Support Technician at our client’s site, you will work as part of a team to achieve daily goals.

Primary responsibilities include:

The Desktop Support Technician's role is to support and maintain organizational computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. That includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all organizational hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via work order) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required.

Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning
• Support development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations.
• Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future hardware and organizational hardware needs.
• Conduct research on, and make recommendations on hardware products for support and development efforts.

Operational Management
• Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user and network hardware, printing/scanning devices, presentation equipment, software, and other products in order to deliver required desktop service levels.
• Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or work orders regarding desktop problems.
• Ensure that desktop connections, i.e. network jacks are in proper working order.
• Perform related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.

Position Requirements
• Experience in related field.

Knowledge & Experience:
• Excellent knowledge of PC and desktop hardware.
• Excellent knowledge of PC internal components.
• Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Extensive equipment support experience.
• Active Directory experience
• Service side programming experience
• Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards.
• Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.

Must have a desire to learn and grow in the Information Technology field!

Work Conditions:
• Sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods of time.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Pay rate: $21.00/hour
