Job Description

Position:  Lead UX/UI Designer (Remote Opportunity)

Basic Purpose:

Diagnostics is looking for an experienced design leader to help shape and drive
our user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design practices. The ideal
candidate should be an expert in human centered design and design thinking with
a bias towards designing based on real user insights. As the Design Lead, you
will be instrumental in creating functional, yet beautiful, digital experiences
that will be used by half of the US population.

Duties and

-Define and implement processes to
  ensure consistent, functional, and beautiful designs across all phases of
  the product development lifecycle.
-Conduct design reviews and critiques
  to ensure consistency and adherence to design thinking principles,
  industry best practices, and the Quest brand.
  coach, and develop a diverse and growing team of UX and UI designers.
-Establish and promote design
  guidelines, best practices and standards through the implementation and
  maintenance of Quest's UI design system.
-Stay up-to-date on industry trends
  and ensure our design team is at the forefront of design best practices,
  standards, and tools
-Advocate and champion design
  thinking throughout the enterprise
-Collaborate with business
  stakeholders, marketing, product management, engineering, and other designers
  to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction,
  visuals, and experience.

BA/BS in a design related field

Work Experience:

-8+ years of relevant experience of UX/UI design of digital products
-2+ years of experience leading and/or managing design team
-Demonstratable user-centered design experience across all phases of the product design and development lifecycle and a keen understanding of the design process and artifacts necessary to ensure a successful product launch
-A willingness and desire to grow and mentor junior UX and UI designers
-A Passion and bias for design driven by user needs and expectations.
-Design experience in an Agile development framework preferred
-Deep understanding of the different levels of design artifacts from low-fidelity to functional high-fidelity prototypes and where and when the different artifacts are appropriate
-Demonstratable experience of incorporating user research into your design process and implementing sound design decisions based on research insights
-Excellent written & verbal communication skills with the ability to defend design decisions when necessary
-Strong organization and documentation skills to help catalog design elements into a company-wide Design System. ---Understanding of principles of Atomic Design a strong plus
-Ability to manage and
contribute to multiple projects concurrently
