Position Summary (Purpose of job):

The LMS Team Senior Build Engineer will be the Operations & LMS System subject matter expert for the on-going development, implementation & optimization of LMS. The Sr Build Engineer will have a strong understanding of and consideration for the unique operations processes and procedures at each LMS DC within the Medical Surgical Network. This individual will partner will all levels of DC Operations, IT, PMO, Distribution Center Solutions and Senior Leadership to identify and solve for challenges related to the implementation & advancement of LMS at all sites across McKesson Medical Surgical.

The Sr Build Engineer will lead efforts across the team to ensure all duties involved in the implementation, advancement, and improvement of the program are completed and deadlines & key metrics are achieved. Other duties include, but are not limited to new build design, Direct & Indirect Engineered Standard development & configuration, assisting LMS Regional Partners, DC LMS revisits, training, time studies, warehouse mapping, software configuration and Engineered Standards audits.

This is a permanent & full time role with 75%+ travel.

Key Responsibilities (List the top five to seven essential responsibilities in priority order):

30% - Partners with LMS Team members and cross functional partners in a matrix environment. Provides guidance from a configuration and development perspective to stakeholders and project members to advance the LMS program for new builds, program compliance, and optimization to improve LMS ROI in a lean/least waste operation. Works with project team to resolve issues and improve program adoption.
25% - Responsible for identifying and closing any GAPS in processes, identifying departures from the SOP, or potential process improvement needs. As the system and SOP expert, this individual will lead on development and ideas to move unmeasured work to a measured category, indirect work to direct, and contually improve process & standards relative to our Operations.
25% - Serves as Operations & LMS SME in termss of standards design, implementation, adoption, future development, and execution at each site. Develop & write process documents, flowcharts & review all standards to ensure SOPs and standards accurately reflect the unique operations at a given site.
10% - Takes the lead role in coordinating operations activities within the project to help deliver LMS project on time and on budget.
10% - May prepare and present presentations and lead conference calls to share information and coordinate project activities.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Education/Training -

4 year degree or equivalent field experience
Strong knowledge of McKesson DC processes
Ability to identify & communicate best practices for DC Process Efficiency
Must be proficient with McKesson's RF technology

Business Experience -

5+ years experience in project management including managing multiple projects simultaneously
5+ years experience and a track record of proven leadership in a DC environment
Excellent written and verbal skills
Must be able to partner with cross functional partners and direct a team of employees to accomplish a specific set of goals and objectives

Specialized Knowledge/Skills -

Collaborative, customer-focused and able to create visible value.
Strong knowledge of all McKesson policies and procedures related to warehouse duties
Strong knowledge of distribution center process and procedures as well as layout of facilities
Strong knowledge of distribution center layout/construction
Ability to identify training needs based on changes of work environment
Must be able to communicate directly and candidly with all levels of the organization
Intermediate knowledge of analytical reporting tools (Access, Excel) strongly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of multiple platforms/systems (Audit Log,AS400/E1, McKesson RF) required.
Comfortable "rolling up the sleeves" and working alongside team members to demonstrate best practices & lean work methods.

Working Conditions:

Environment -

Traditional warehouse & office environment.
Up to 75% travel required

Physical Requirements -

Large percent of time performing computer based work is required.
Time is split equally between overseeing the DC tasks, interacting with the DC team members, and general office requirements.
Lifting between 1 and 30 pounds regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally
