Description
The Senior Manager, Line of Business Marketing provides the strategic and tactical direction for the bank's diverse portfolio of business and product areas. This position works to define the strategy goals and objectives for each line of business to facilitate action in the accomplishment of Northwest's overall growth goals. This position also ensures the maximum revenue and profit growth for each line of business.  This position is responsible for developing, planning and implementing Northwest's marketing plan, including market research and advertising. Effectively presents the global corporate image. Supports the marketing department and Northwest staff by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate personnel.





Essential Functions





*

Develop and execute line of business marketing strategy for each unique line of business, targeting of high value segments and development of programs to address the challenges of Northwest's key business units

*

Facilitate action to accomplish line of business strategy and revenue goals by working in a matrix across the organization (finance, lines of business, marketing, customer experience, sales, etc)

*

Direct the development of, and participate in reviewing and approving, the short and long range operating objectives and plans, guiding the individual line of business marketing strategies to ensure maximum revenue growth in support of the line of business and corporate growth objectives

*

Accountable for meeting marketing contribution goals for each line of business

*

Responsible for ensuring through the line of business strategy, the appropriate product positioning

*

Review and monitor the line of business sales performance on a continuing basis, including risks/opportunities and work to adjust plans and priorities appropriately by balancing near/mid-terms business conditions with longer term priorities; translate into actionable marketing programs that yield revenue-attributable business outcomes

*

Establish and maintain appropriate communications within and between various functional areas within marketing and line of business executive and sales leadership

*

Provide input to product teams to develop processes, recommend pricing actions, and creation of promotional programs in support of line of business strategy and revenue plan

*

Develop and manage the marketing operating budget

*

Coordinate and oversee external communications and public relations, including, but not limited to press releases, news releases and approval of articles for publication

*

Drive social media and all web activities to include appropriate branding and timely content

*

Collaborate with internal and external marketing team members to develop and execute tactical plans in support of the overall line of business marketing strategy

*

Ensure regulatory compliance on all advertising and promotional pieces

*

Evaluate and recommend product refinement and development opportunities as well as distribution channel opportunities

*

Provide marketing thought leadership and support for Northwest and related entities

*

Monitor competitive products and marketing activities, and take responsive action where appropriate

*

Ensure effective control of marketing results, and routinely measure and disseminate return on marketing investment

*

Maintain a broad knowledge and thorough understanding of Federal regulations, policies and procedures and the regulatory framework in which Northwest operates as well as current marketing trends and developments

*

Provide leadership and positive direction for maintaining the safety and loss prevention program

*

Actively participate in and support employee participation in the safety and loss prevention program by ensuring that employees know how to properly report a safety issue, making sure that all accidents are promptly reported to Human Resources and documented, and ensuring that prompt action is taken whenever workplace hazards are identified

*

Help implement emergency procedures
