Role Objective

Using whole systems thinking, this role is responsible for driving improved business and innovation planning through partnering and dot-connecting with R&D, New Technology Teams, Portfolio and Product Management, Sustainable Value team. Responsible for stewarding the portfolio innovation process, from "fuzzy front end" through post-launch, ensuring that it meets and supports enterprise strategy and growth needs. Manages, coordinates and facilitates the growth of the enterprise's innovation capability across key cross-functional components: Strategic Alignment, Disciplined Implementation, Organizational Readiness, Core & Emerging Technologies. Directs the organizational use of the Stage Gate and Portfolio Management Processes.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

*  Ensure innovation performance is on track with GOJO vision and strategy
*  Direct the organizational use of Portfolio Management practice to ensure that the innovation pipeline, inclusive of emerging ("fuzzy front end") technology, supports and responds to business goals and category strategies
*  Lead and direct the Stage Gate New Product development process, including:
o  Monitor the integrity and quality of the process and implement changes as needed
o  Provide training, coaching to users of the process
o  Facilitate Stage Gate planning and gate review meetings
o  Maintain tools, templates and best practices
o  Create accountability for post-launch commercialization effectiveness.
o  Provide information regarding implementation status of NPD Portfolio to key stakeholders
*  Support the "Total Solution Venue (Team)", a cross functional senior leadership team chartered to:
o  Align innovation pipeline with strategy and ensure sufficiency of plans to deliver strategic targets and goals (e.g. category strategy and roadmap reviews, Early Strategic Alignment review of new product initiatives, technology portfolio reviews)
o  Prioritize the right project work (NPD, Cost Savings, Special Projects, New Technologies, etc.) and ensure it is resourced appropriately
o  Create accountability for innovation scorecard and post-launch commercialization effectiveness.
*  Champion of innovation entrepreneurial mindset, approaches and best practices whereby you
o  Create Enterprise level connections for improved business and innovation planning through partnering and dot-connecting with R&D, New Technology Teams, Product Management, Sustainable Value team
o  Participate and contribute to our Innovation WithOut Walls team. Serve as a primary point of contact for external innovation partnerships and collaborations.
o  Create shared understanding of the innovation processes across the organization through training, presentations and facilitation.
o  Partner with other GOJO team members (e.g HROD, R&D, Product Management), to create conditions for a culture of innovation and strenghthening the "cultivates innovation" competency amongst GOJO employees.

Education and Experience

*  BA/BS in Business, communications  or related fields with seven to ten plus years of experience in the areas of product management, marketing, or innovation management. MBA preferred
*  Stage-Gate or equivalent process experience required
*  Knowledge of Portfolio Management software (Accolade)


Reporting to the Insights and Innovation Center, this role has supervisory responsibility for the Process Leader role (Administrator of Stage-Gate scheduling and Portfolio Management Software)
Coordination of innovation activities across cross functional teams
This position will have one direct report

Travel Requirements

Overnight Travel - sporadic - required.
Travel between campus locations in Northeast Ohio as needed
