Job Overview

This position will be responsible for designing and implementing full life cycle recruitment strategies, processes and procedures for Myers Industries and its brands. This position will be directly responsible for managing ten+ key salaried roles within the organization at a time. The ideal Director is driven, eager and able to develop lasting relationships with both candidates and hiring managers.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Serve as a business partner with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies that result in client satisfaction. Develop effective relationships within the organization and the hiring community to have influence and impact the recruiting process and hiring.

* Create and maintain an inclusive environment to attract and create a competitive advantage.

* Manage full life cycle recruitment for salaried roles within the organization. Support the process for all roles, including hourly production. (post, source, prescreen, schedule, background, references, offer, onboarding, etc.).

* Develop appropriate marketing strategies, define roles and responsibilities of hiring team, and develop service-level agreements to ensure an effective and efficient recruitment lifecycle while minimizing cost-per-hire.

* Work closely with the HRIS team to collect and coordinate aggregate data for talent pool and translate those data into insights through data analysis that drives deliberate action plans at the appropriate levels.

* Develop and implement creative and innovative sourcing strategies and techniques to build a pipeline of qualified candidates.

* Lead the development of an internship program that can support the growth of future leaders within Myers Industries. Maintain this program and support the ongoing activities to ensure a positive experience.

* Build talent pipelines for current and future job openings, both salaried and hourly positions.

* Prepare and review our annual recruitment budget

* Oversee all stages of candidate experience (including application, interviews and communication)

* Participate in and host recruitment events to drive awareness of our company

* Customer Focus: Strong ability to understand and empathize with others point of view; establishes and maintains productive partnerships with people by gaining their trust and respect; identifies people's needs and matches them to appropriate solutions; keeps key customers and other contacts informed of progress or setbacks in projects

Education and Experience

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in HR, Business Management or Engineering. Master's or other post-graduate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related fields a plus

* Minimum 10 years related experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruitment or Human Resources.

Recent experience recruiting in multiple discipline areas and levels, including hiring exempt and leadership positions required.

* Experience in all areas of sourcing such as the internet, social media, networking, employee referrals, job postings, as well as conducting open houses and virtual job fairs.

Experience in working with applicant tracking systems and affirmative action plan requirements.

* Experience supporting multiple locations.

* Experience in a high performing HR culture

* Familiarity with lean principles, problem solving and how to apply them to Human Resources in a measurable and sustainable way

* Strong PC, Excel, Word, and Power Point skills

Working Conditions

* Typical office environment

* Travel up to 15%
