Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Production Superintendent located in Waterville, Ohio. The purpose of this position is leading the team of front-line leaders, team members and support staff to create and sustain high performing customer-centric products. This individual will lead the team to achieve critical to quality targets for safety, quality, service, delivery, productivity and continuous improvement.
Your Day to Day:
Assure production activities are in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Manage a comprehensive safety program to meet OSHA/JM safety requirements.
Conducts safety audits.
Lead safety training and awareness programs.
Oversees department quality program to meet JM and customer quality standards including quality training, quality audits and supervising quality processes in each stage of the manufacturing and product packaging process.
Manage operations within budget.
Assist in preparation of budgets and standards for cost measurement.
Develop and administer material and labor usage controls.
Participate in plans to improve productivity and cost reduction.
What You Bring to the Team:
Minimum of 5 years of operational leadership experience.
Solid interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to resolve complex situations.
Ability to lead in a team environment.
Ability to recruit, train, and develop employees.
Ability to work with plant engineers, vendors, contractors and others to complete approved projects.
Computer proficiency in software applications required for analyzing, monitoring, budgeting, and reporting.
