Job Description


The National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, a non-profit organization based in Columbus, Ohio, is recruiting for a Full-Time Marketing Operations Specialist. The National Registry is the nation’s EMS certification agency and credentials EMS professionals throughout the country and is the National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Certification organization. The mission of the National Registry is to provide a valid, uniform process to assess the knowledge and skills required for competent practice of EMS professionals throughout their careers, and to maintain a registry of certification status.

The Marketing Operations Specialist will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting our customer relationship management (CRM). The Marketing Operations Specialist will be responsible for the development and launch of key marketing programs and initiatives. This position will develop internal and external relationships to build and launch tactics that meet the business needs of key organizational stakeholders. This Marketing Operations Specialist reports to the  Director of Marketing & Communications.


Requirements Essential Functions are listed below; other duties may be assigned: 

Communication, Marketing, Branding Initiatives 

  • Marketing Operations support which may include but is not limited to owning and implementing martech, reporting, and building/updating processes.  
  • In-house expert and champion of our CRM,  marketing automation, and personalization tools to engage and increase the value of stakeholders across the customer lifecycle. 
  • Partner with the wider marketing team to build out the CRM strategy and personalization strategy.  
  • In partnership with the Marketing & Communications team, determine ways to improve customer experience through cross-channel campaigns using testing and optimization. 
  • Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance, using both quantitative and qualitative analysis to draw insights for optimization and key learnings.  
  • Help develop dashboards and metrics to assess success and areas for development. 
  • Build and manage strong vendor relationships to troubleshoot issues, stay on top of product releases, monitor the progress of requests, and navigate new integrations. 
  • Identify and run experiments to pilot future digital marketing capabilities. 
  • Establish rigorous A/B testing processes to test creative design, content, cadence, and timing to constantly improve performance. 
  • Assist in strategy and planning sessions, including but not limited to, market research analysis, pricing strategy, new product development and more. 
  • Build campaign logic and communication flows to support new product features. 
  • Document and implement processes for campaign setup, testing and deployment. 
  • Identify and proactively act on areas of improvement in campaign functionality or processes. 

National Registry Mission support 

  • When appropriate, assist in answering stakeholder questions and seeking resolution. 
  • Work on multiple projects, work within associated deadlines, prioritize work, and always look for ways to improve, assist others and advance the organization through process improvement and project management.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Experience, Education, Certification and Skill Requirements: 

  • 4-year degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field or equivalent experience. 
  • 3 to 5 years of marketing, communications, brand, public relations, or related field. 
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation software.

Specific Requirements: 

  • Must be able to perform advanced math skills, adding, subtracting, dividing, etc. 
  • Must be able to accomplish tasks via the electronic environment such as video conferencing and digital collaboration. 
  • Must be able to effectively use a keyboard.
