IDI/LTC Model Consultant

The IDI/LTC Model Consultant is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Individual Disability (IDI) and Long-Term Care (LTC) MG-ALFA models and Integrate processes.  They will be responsible for representing and advocating for the stakeholders of IDI and LTC modeling processes on the Enterprise Modeling Team.  They will be expected to balance that advocacy with keeping the IDI and LTC models consistent with enterprise standards and working in harmony with other models toward enterprise modeling initiatives.

Has a deep understanding of the IDI/LTC models, uses of the models, and the processes surrounding them
Creation of a vision for modeling capabilities from both business unit and Enterprise points of view
Build influence across the organization to drive improved actuarial processes
Advocates for more efficient actuarial processes within Integrate to build awareness and support.
Key liaison with and builds long-standing relationship with IDI and LTC Integrate internal customers. Understands, appreciates, and empathizes with their objectives, priorities, issues, and what drives value for them.
Effectively works as part of the broader Enterprise Modeling Team and collaborates with IT, Accounting, and other areas to understand capabilities and the value alignment.
Partners with actuarial leaders to ensure the Integrate processes meet product needs
Review and approval of model and process enhancements associated with IDI and LTC as appropriately delegated by the model owners
Develop a strong relationship with Milliman and a deep understanding of Integrate
Participation in project planning and creation of project objectives


Bachelor's or master's degree in Actuarial Science or related field
FSA designation preferred
At least two years of actuarial work experience required
Strong analytical and effective communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of MG-ALFA or other actuarial modeling platform
Knowledge of Individual Disability Insurance and Long-Term Care Insurance
Knowledge of spreadsheets, technical skills, or the ability to learn, is preferred
Ability to direct the work of others and assist in their education and development

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range

$87550 - $172800 / year
