Rumpke is looking for a Talent Development Specialist. The Talent Development Specialist is primarily responsible for delivering high quality training solutions and course development that are strategically aligned with the organization's objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:
Facilitate and deliver talent development programs, workshops, events, and activities using in-class, virtual and online formats.
Develop instructional content and materials utilizing various instructional design methodologies and technologies.
Assist with the planning and creation of monthly training schedule for courses offered by the Talent Development Team.
Measure the impact of learning through engagement activities, group exercises, facility tours/visits, situational scenarios and knowledge checks that assess material retention.
Conduct necessary prep work to teach approved Rumpke training programs and follow curriculum as outlined in the program.
Provide record keeping regarding classes taught, class schedule and participant attendance by updating the Learning Management System to ensure accurate training participation records.
Utilize the Learning Management System to store and organize all current and newly developed training courses and curricula.
Drive greater understanding and use of Rumpke's training programs, tools, and resources to ensure consistency in language, models, and tools across the company.
Support the roll-out of talent practices including performance management, talent reviews and succession planning process.
Assists management in the selection of external training suppliers as needed.
Recommend modifications, enhancements, or changes to training programs as needed.
Maintain knowledge of training or company procedures through reading and interpreting general business periodicals and professional journals.

Computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications.
Proficiency in Adobe Captivate or other e-learning content authoring tools.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals.
Bachelor's degree in any of the following areas preferred: Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design, Business Management, Communications, or related field or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 1 year of classroom training experience with demonstrated success facilitating both in-person and virtual training required. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a classroom environment and facilitate pre-designed learning programs.
Demonstrated track record with development of training material that consists of written and e-Learning course content, presentation material, instructor guides, or learning activities focused on meeting defined learning objectives
Proven ability of establishing a high level of credibility quickly; appropriate confidence to gain the trust and respect of key stakeholders and leaders.
Training & Facilitation Certificate from ATD preferred, not required.
Associate or Certified Professional in Talent Development (APTD/CPTD) Certification preferred and/or highly encouraged but not required.
Good driving record; able to meet Rumpke driving qualifications.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Must be able to produce satisfactory pre-employment drug test and background check results
Office environment but will visit various lines of business which will include but not limited to maintenance shops, recycling centers, and landfill environments which may be noisy and dusty.
Travel required to Rumpke locations.
Prolonged sitting and repetitive motions performed working on the computer and other office functions.
