You will support our global Education team through creating and developing new educational materials for classroom and online training. You will also help maintain existing courseware, create new curriculum content for interactive ways of learning with learning management software and traditional means, and build engaging content for our users, while helping to collaborate with our eLearning and video production teams to help market what we deliver.

What you will be doing:
Keep existing Elastic Stack courseware up-to-date with the fast changing features of Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana and Beats
Use feedback and survey data from students and education engineers to create new courses and improve existing courses both for in-person and on-demand education
Work with the engineering team, education team and subject matter experts to improve existing courses and to create new learning objectives
Create scripts, programs, and other similar technical artifacts that will assist the students in their learning environment and labs for courses.
Keep up to date with changes and advancements in the Elastic Stack and other similar technologies by following GitHub and other communications while in a parallel getting your hands dirty playing and experimenting with the software and code.
Work closely with education engineers to resolve issues with courseware discovered in the field.
Participate in internal technical product training and subscription overviews as well as Elastic technology training and certification methods
What You Bring Along:
BS in Computer Science, Curriculum Specialist, Instructional Design, Elearning Developer, or related engineering or educational discipline
Proven ability to work independently and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Not satisfied with the status quo - always thinking about how it can be done better
Thinks of creative ways to apply creative mediums and ways of learning to what we already have implemented
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication abilities including skills in explaining technical topics to novices and collaborating with subject matter experts, global stakeholders, and managers
Ability to work independently and be flexible to work across variable time-zones to support Global needs
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum, training design, and educational disciplines
Experience with Learning Management systems, Integration platforms and/or Data Analytics tools: Docebo, Strigo
Demonstrate experience implementing multiple technical integration project SDLCs (Software Development Life Cycle) end-to-end
Experience with the following is a huge plus: Adobe Premiere Pro, Articulate 360, Captivate, or other eLearning tools
Experience with Camtasia or equivalent
MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Education, Instructional Design, Video Production, or a related discipline
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environment and a programming language

The typical starting Total Cash Compensation range for new hires in this role is between $78,700 and $108,200, which consists of a Base Salary or a Base Salary plus a Target Commission, depending on the specific role. The Base Salary offered may vary depending on factors including skills and experience.
Additionally, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's equity plan as well as a range of health & wellbeing, retirement savings, and other benefits within a holistic total rewards offering.
