About the Department


The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics competes at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics with the vision to reach Next Level Success for all 18 varsity teams and more than 500 student-athletes. The Bearcats have a proud athletics history, winning eight national championships and 117 conference titles. The Cincinnati men's basketball team is among the 15 winningest programs all-time, while the football team became the first American Athletic Conference program to compete in the College Football Playoff in 2021. Olympic gold medalist volleyball player Jordan Thompson, NBA Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson and Major League Baseball legend Sandy Koufax are among the several luminaries who have competed as Bearcats.

UC student-athletes collectively posted a 3.387 overall GPA in the fall of 2021 with 78 percent earning spots on the Honor Roll.

Job Overview


The University of Cincinnati (UC), Department of Athletics seeks applications for an Executive Producer in the Sports Production unit. This is a full-time position, salaried, with a comprehensive benefits package.

The successful candidate will be expected to lead the media production function of UC Athletics while following UC and departmental policies, NCAA Division I, and Conference bylaws and regulations.

Essential Functions



Responsible for the strategic planning, creative alignment, execution of media production, and resource and personnel management for digital and linear live-game broadcasts for TV networks and streaming platforms, as well as in-venue videoboard shows for sports programs and university and external events as needed.
Support other media production including press conferences, video shorts, video clipping, social media support, and student-athlete award shows.
Serve as the main point of contact to internal and external partners.
Serve as the media production liaison to athletic conference coordinating transition and continuity efforts to ensure all conference requirements are met.
Implement newest technologies and trends in the industry.
Ensure fiscal responsibility through proper budget management.
Serve as member of the External Leadership Team.
May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education


Bachelor's Degree in Media Production, Broadcasting, or related field.

Required Experience


Five (5) years of producer/director experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered



The position requires evening and weekend hours.
Linear television experience.
Previous college campus experience.
Director level experience for live events.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment


Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
