The Hilton Columbus/Polaris is currently seeking a motivated Full Time Reservations Agent for our 254 room full service AAA Four Diamond hotel located in the vibrant Polaris community. Our ideal candidate would posses an upbeat and out going personality with a passion for people and a willingness to serve others in accordance with Hilton standards. As an associate of the Hilton Columbus/Polaris, you will also be an associate of Crescent Hotels & Resorts, one of the nation's largest and fastest growing hospitality management companies. As a full time associate you will be eligible for partially employer paid health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 100% employer paid life insurance at one times your annual salary available on the first of the month after 60 days of employment. You will also be eligible for participation in our 401K program after 6 months of employment, during monthly enrollments, with a match of 50 cents on the dollar up to 6% and a 5 year progressive vesting schedule. You will also accrue vacation and personal time each paycheck at a rate of five days of vacation and four personal days after one year (These accruals are based on the average hours you work.) After three months of employment you can begin utilizing any accrued personal time and after six months of employment you can begin utilizing any accrued vacation time. Full time associates also receive holiday pay for seven paid holidays a year. Upon offer of employment candidates must be willing to submit to social security verification and criminal background check. MVR checks may also be conducted if the position requires the associate to operate a company vehicle.
The company does not offer relocation for this position.
This position would be comprised of the following requirements:
Answer the telephone and greet prospective guests in a friendly manner using clear, verbal English communication. Listen to callers to understand inquiries and requests. Promptly provide accurate information regarding availability, accommodation types, transportation to and from hotel, rate, etc. Promote Crescent and brand-specific marketing programs. Assign reservations based on guest preferences and availability.
Answer questions regarding hotel facilities and services, airline partnerships, local attractions, directions, etc. Know, understand, and communicate applicable deposit and guarantee policies as requested. Handle complaints in a tactful manner and negotiate resolutions such as alternative accommodations when hotel is sold out.
Build Group blocks in the reservation system according to the information provided by the Sales Manager. Input Group reservations according to their contract.
Manage Lost and Found items and package, ship and communicate with guests on their items that were left behind.
Distribute incoming mail daily to managers/all departments.
Take inhouse guest calls and requests in a timely manner.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Enthusiastic - Shows intense and eager enjoyment and interest
2 - 3 years: Must have at least 2-3 years in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel (required)
