This position will work primarily 2nd shift, overseeing the entire execution of our brand new restaurant and bar, taking pride and ownership in managing this exciting new venue. The Hilton Columbus Polaris, located in the vibrant Polaris Fashion Place District, is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Sous Chef to assist our Executive Chef in managing all aspects of the Food and Beverage department. This includes overseeing our brand new restaurant and bar, 17 Arrows Craft Kitchen and Bar, any banquet functions during your shift and our Executive Lounge. Must have at least 2-3 years experience in a scratch kitchen as a Sous Chef or in a supervisory role. This vital position would assist the Executive Chef in all aspects of managing the kitchen and kitchen personnel, ensuring the quality preparation of all menu items and proper handling/storage of all food items in accordance with standards. This position would also assist in coordinating the purchase of all food and develop menus, maintaining approved food costs and labor costs. The ideal candidate will be available to work mostly evening shifts.

After three months of employment you can begin utilizing any accrued personal time and after six months of employment you can begin utilizing any accrued vacation time. Full time associates also receive holiday pay for seven paid holidays a year. Upon offer of employment candidates must be willing to submit to social security verification and criminal background check. MVR checks may also be conducted if the position requires the associate to operate a company vehicle.
The company does not offer relocation for this position.
