Job Description


SUMMARY

Operates keyboard-controlled data entry devices such as a computer, handheld scanners, etc. Work is routine and repetitive.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Make changes in the system if there are changes on inventory, including lot numbers, dates, etc.
Double check word orders once printed for errors, scan paperwork into system, make Excel spreadsheets.
Update all paperwork assigned.
Works under close supervision and follows specific procedures or detailed instructions.
Works from various standardized source documents.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Other duties as assigned.

None.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Seeing up close. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily performed in an office setting but may also be performed in a maintenance facility.

WORK SCHEDULE

40 hours per week, and occasional overtime, with prior supervisor approval, as required to maintain operations.



Job Requirements


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 2 years' experience in data entry.
Associates degree in an applied science. In lieu of degree, relevant work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Requires skill in operating an alphanumeric keyboard.
Understanding of transcribing procedures and relevant data entry equipment.
Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
Flexibility in scheduling work hours.
Ability to multi-task.
Must pass a drug test and background check.
Have a positive attitude and great work ethic.
Ability to work well with others.
