Core Responsibilities:


Assist with the creation, review and analysis of legal and business contractual documents (included but not limited to sales agreements (LOI, LTA, Nominations, PO), order acknowledgements, nondisclosures) to ensure compliance with company guidelines.
Maintain all contract agreements in accordance with Corporate Policies and Divisional Operating Procedures.
Serve as the central point of contract for customer inquiries.
Provide customers with updated order and delivery status.


Responsible for the accurate and timely management of all sales order activity.
Ensure all sales data is accurate and complete in order to ensure timely fulfillment, and backlog reporting integrity; including schedule and associated dollars.
May assist Contracts Manager with review of customer request for quotes and government solicitations.
May assist sales team and functional areas with new opportunities. May be responsible for inputting data (RFQ, pricing, status, etc.) into the proposal tracking system and ensuring data is accurate and complete.
Perform order entry or EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transaction conversions to the ERP system, verify accuracy.
Post customer scorecards and coordinate the annual Customer Satisfaction Survey.
Coordinates with finance to set up new customer information including payment terms and conditions.
Support Account Receivable initiatives by resolving discrepancies, collection efforts, working with customer on payment terms.
Responsible for import/export shipments and coordinate of special shipments.
Handle customer returns. Track and monitor critical customer parts to ensure expedite on as needed basis.
Works with other functional areas to identify opportunities in support of continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:


Minimum of four (2) years of prior experience as a Contract Administrator, Buyer, Purchasing Agent, or a related position preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Solid understanding of legal language, contract constructs and terms and conditions commonly used in business contracts and in bid documents including Government FAR and DFARS.
Ability to work independently, handle simultaneous work assignments and projects, and drive Lean process improvements.
Able to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, resolve customer complaints and escalate, as appropriate.
Excellent communication skills, (written and oral) and strong computer skills.
Experience developing positive long-term relationships, both internally and externally.
High proficiency in Windows environment (MS Office: Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn other software packages.
Preferred knowledge of and experience with an ERP/MRP System.
Proven success interacting with peers, senior management and other functional areas.
Position requires tact and high degree of diplomacy; proven negotiation skills
Good mathematical/quantitative and analytical orientation.

*  Associates degree in business administration or equivalent experience.
