The, located at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) at Wright-Patterson AFB, is looking for a motivated and talented individual to serve as a Computer Vision Engineer to support solving interesting technical problems in the U.S. Air Force and the DoD. The successful candidate will have graduated from a major university or college with at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related field, with a 3.0 GPA or higher. The applicants experience level will decide the level of the position and salary level; the position is flexible and can support entry-level to senior candidates. The candidate must be a self-sufficient and an independent professional.
Essential Job Responsibilities
The Computer Vision Engineer will be a key member of the research staff supporting ANT Center faculty and graduate students to support and drive the software and tooling of the Center's cutting-edge research and development projects. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Design, develop, and test computer software in support of research requirements
Work with faculty, students, and research engineers to develop new algorithms and tooling that support the various autonomy and advanced navigation research projects
Integrate various technologies, such as commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and government off-the-shelf (GOTS) hardware and software, to support specific research needs
Support CI/CD pipelines and repository maintenance to ensure availability of software tooling
Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results
Ability to work in-person and remote
US Citizen, with active Secret clearance or an ability to obtain one
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related field, with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.

Experience with programming languages such as Python and C++
