Position Beginning: Winter 2023 (January 3, 2023 and beyond)
The individual selected will have the primary instructional responsibility of teaching Psychology or Science courses in the General Education Department for various undergraduate programs at our campus. Adjunct faculty are staffed in courses as needed. Adjunct faculty may not have assignments every quarter.
Courses taught on campus meet for 1.5-hour sessions throughout the day, as well as online courses. UNOH courses run on quarterly basis throughout the entire year. Classes meet either Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, or Tuesday and Thursday.
To teach psychology, potential candidates must, at minimum, possess a master’s degree in psychology from a regionally accredited institution. Candidates with online teaching experience at the post-secondary level will be considered.
To teach science, potential candidates must have a master’s degree in a related science degree from a regionally accredited institution (Degrees in Education, Adult Learning, or Higher Education may not be eligible). Candidates with online teaching experience at the post-secondary level will be given preference. The institution currently uses Canvas as the LMS used to deliver online courses. Training in Canvas will be provided in July for candidates who are selected.
