REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be available the entire work period of 02/15/2023 - 12/15/2023. Must agree to work Mon-Fri, 8 hours per day, Sat, 8 hours. Employer will provide transportation from employer provided living quarters to work site every day. Must read, and agree to, all terms and conditions of employment prior to a referral to the employer.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 3 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 60 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling, drug screen, criminal background check.
JOB DUTIES: Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. Perform duties like: General maintenance, greasing, lubrication and safety checks on tractors, trucks, semis and equipment. Maintain cleanliness & shop organization of tools and supplies. Provide input and suggestions to maximize shop efficiency. Keep trucks, tractors, and all equipment clean; take out trash daily. Keep record of and inform shop supervisor of any maintenance or repairs needing to be completed. Focus on safety, accuracy and productivity for each task. Plan ahead for supplies that will be needed, plus fuel and transportation. Perform daily maintenance and operations of no-till drill, soybean splitters, nursing sprayer & planter & drill, backhoe & ditching, mow/ted/rake hay & straw, operate combine and or grain cart, trucking, grain system. Maintain accurate record keeping, calculations, use of monitors, and GPS. Assist with maintaining owned properties such as mowing, bushhogging, weed eating, spraying, operate chainsaw, and build or repair fences. Deal with coworkers and vendors in a professional manner. Ask questions and clarification on instructions given.Provide suggestions for improvement. Treat co-workers with respect. Keep management and coworkers informed throughout each day. Check with supervisor before leaving each day. Be an example in professional and ethical conduct. Maintain integrity on time sheet. Emphasize critical thinking and problem solving. Willingness to do any assignment with a positive attitude. coordinate, provide information and help farm handswhen needed. Manage crew for specific tasks as assigned by Farm Supervisor or Owner. Assist and participate in ongoing training of other employees; focus on safety and responsible use of equipment. Complete safety checklists before beginning a task or moving on to a new task/location. Power wash, clean, blow off equipment and grain system throughout the season as assigned. Operate tractors and implements such as Case IHquad tracks, John Deere quad tracks, JD8230, high speed 40ft Horsch Joker Disc, 40ft or 60ft bean splitters, 60ft corn planter, Tractor Trailer Semi, JD mower/conditioner, hay rake, tedder, square and round bailers, skid steer, wheel loader, self-propelled combine, grain cart on tracks, backhoe/ track hoe, physically assist tile plow while installing field tile and making connections. Crops: Corn, Soy Beans, Wheat Equipment: Tractors and implements such as Case IH quad tracks, John Deere quad tracks, JD8230, high speed 40ft Horsch Joker Disc, 40ft or 60ft bean splitters, 60ft corn planter, Tractor Trailer Semi, JD mower/conditioner, hay rake, tedder, square and round bailers, skid steer, wheel loader, self-propelled combine, grain cart on tracks, backhoe/ track hoe. Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.
HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.
TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).
WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: Provided.
TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
