S&A Industries Corporation has opening for Design Engineer to perform the following duties: Responsible for developing and maintaining cost standards for manufacturing equipment utilized in independent work cell and shared continuous manufacturing process; Utilize NX to design products (3D models & 2D prints) and ensure designs meet customer requirements; Design products such that they are feasible based on available equipment; Develop and test prototypes of designed products or components, and analyze the test results and change the product / component design as needed; Maintain and update 3D models and 2D prints in S&A Industries’ internal data base; Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports; Provide feedback to engineering staff on any potential design issue to minimize risk; Recommend design modifications to eliminate product malfunctions; Provide engineering and technical information used for quotation purpose; Conduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility of the engineering design, components, or products.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or related field, plus demonstrated experience in: NX; Computer Aided Design; Design for Manufacturing; Design of Experiment; Interpret manufacturing drawings and 3D models; Creating concepts in CAD and 2D engineering drawings; Injection Modeling; Prototyping including 3D printing; Microsoft Office; GD&T (Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing).  Experience may be gained during or through the course of graduate-level education.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week/8am-5pm/Monday-Friday
