We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as an Aerospace Engineer, Journeyman to work out of Dayton, OH.

*Position is contingent upon award of contract*

Job Summary:

Analyzes, organizes, plans and administers various phases of day-to-day. Develops, plans, coordinates, and integrates related requirements to support operational needs. Must have proficiency with hardware and software development and knowledge of Aerospace Engineering and Avionics. Under general supervision and usually acts independently. Conducts studies, technical assessments, and system analysis to determine performance and effectiveness of aerospace systems and concepts. Participates in analysis and evaluations of capabilities and operational concepts to identify technology feasibility, operational viability, cost impacts, and more. May monitor and analyze strategic and operational aspects of political, military, and economic developments. May analyzes contractual documents, technical data, customer operation characteristics, and related reports. May perform a wide variety of activities at customer sites and provide technical support to customers in solving technical problems. May assist engineering in determining and solving equipment design problems. Prepares operating and malfunction reports and associated documentation. Typically handles moderately complex products and/or problems of an advanced scope and may provide technical guidance to lower-level Analysts.

Essential Duties:


Uses professional concepts, polices, and procedures to solve a wide range of advanced problems.
Works on problems of a diverse scope.
Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies.
Normally receives no instruction on routine work and general instructions on new assignments.
Apply Model Based Systems Engineering Principles
Ensuring that system requirements and specifications are consistent with operational deployment environments aerospace system design and testing.
Recommending innovative solutions for technical and operational problems.
Analyzing and evaluating operational viability in relation to proposed concepts of operation and identifying new possible concepts of operation.
Monitoring and documenting component and system tests.
Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:


3 years of related experience
Knowledge of military operations and operational concepts
Experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting
Experience with vulnerability assessment and risk management
Experience with CONOP, CONEMP, and TTP Development

Preferred Qualifications:


5 years of related experience
Knowledge and assessment of sensor phenomenology
Background in Developmental or Operational Testing.
Graduate of USAF Weapons School, or equivalent program

Education/ Certification:


Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or related field

Required Clearance: Secret

Travel: TBD
