Summary:

As a Materials Supervisor at Microwave Products Group - Pole/Zero Corporation in West Chester, OH, you will support the military community by managing the stockroom / inventory and shipping associates.

Primary Responsibilities of this position include:

Supervises and trains the Stockroom and Shipping/Receiving personnel, ensuring daily priorities are established and successfully completed
Develops departmental budgets
Ensures accurate and timely transactions of receiving, issuing and shipping of material in accordance with company schedules and procedures
Works with Planning and Purchasing Departments to ensure material and supplies are moved to the floor as required
Works with Manufacturing, Quality and Purchasing to identify and resolve material based or shipping/receiving based discrepancies
Performs physical inventories /cycle counts and reconciles with the perpetual inventory
Develops and improves departmental related processes, tools, methodologies, and performs training to increase staff capabilities
Completes performance evaluations professionally and on time
Writes and maintains ISO procedures for the areas
Monitors compliance to the ISO standards
Establishes clear and measurable goals and objectives for the department and for each employee

Suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other employees are given great weight.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

Manage, administer and coordinate employee records management, tracking reports, data collection and transposing information for management reports.

Maintain attendance records for all employees.
Handle routine vacation requests from employees.
Coordinate leaves of absence with Human Resources Department.
Audit housekeeping/5S on a regular basis.
Define, communicate and implement projects for improved production.
Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of
department or team.
Help facilitate improvement through participation on intra-company teams
Collect and report departmental information as needed or requested

Produce analyses related to department needs

Complete special projects as needed

Knowledge, skills and abilities strongly preferred include:

Knowledge of materials management concepts required
Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices required
The ability to enable a positive team environment
Capable and comfortable implementing and using software tools to improve development efficiency
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with ability to communicate within all levels of the organization
Computer literate; knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Project, etc.)
Familiar with use of ERP systems (IFS, SAP, etc.

Requirements Include:

Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident - Green Card Holder)
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associate's degree in related field + 3 years of materials based supervisory experience OR 5+ years of progressively responsible supervisory experience required
