OTC Pumps is looking for an Industrial Pump Mechanic 3 to join our team in Middletown, OH!
The Industrial Pump Mechanic will work on and rebuild rotating equipment. Additional duties will include, but are not limited to: pipe fitting, manual machine work, material handling, measurements, vibration analysis, electrical work, laser alignment, installation, and system analysis.
What You'll Do:
Remove and install new rotating equipment.
Perform maintenance/repair activities on rotating equipment, including equipment alignments.
Troubleshoot equipment and diagnose possible reason(s) for failure.
Provide information on parts and additional work required.
Operate and maintain a service truck, including maintenance, repairs, tooling, and maintaining material inventory.
Travel to customer sites and stay overnight as needed.
Communicate with customers.
Document each assignment, including pictures.
Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
High school education required; Associate degree/certification in mechanics preferred.
5+ years of experience in the maintenance/repair of rotating equipment (i.e. pumps, motors, gearboxes).
Ability to use precision equipment (dial indicators, mics, calipers).
Ability to read and understand dimensional drawing, exploded view drawings, and cut section drawings.
Ability to travel to customers' sites and stay overnight as needed; attend training trips in other shops as needed.
Capable of working independently with little or no supervision.
General knowledge of PC and ability to use Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, & Outlook).
Ability to work on electrical components preferred.
Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Systems and Programs preferred.
