Compressed Air as A Service. DIRECTAIR is the pioneer of the fourth-utility concept and has consistently supplied high-quality compressed air to more than 150 companies. With DIRECTAIR OTC installs a state-of-the-art compressed air facility right at your site. We install, own, operate and maintain this compressed air system for a contractually agreed upon time and supply a steady stream of high-quality, guaranteed, compressed air.
Overview
Accountable for driving, decision making and oversight of the quality systems. Works with and influences key stakeholders to develop and maintain QA procedures, forms, and systems. Follow structured documentation and quality control procedures.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing a QMS system in a manufacturing environment.
Planning and facilitating of quality system needs - including QC strategy, maintenance of quality records, driving quality policy, and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Maintain and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Work with management to identify new quality improvement opportunities.
Perform problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement
Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection
Develop, execute, and analyze quality reporting measures
Establish quality control procedures to ensure conformance of manufacturing to engineered drawings.
Ensure standardized procedural documentation is accurate, up to date, and utilized.
Participate in internal and external quality audits
Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.
Compile and supervise the lessons learned database and perform auditing techniques for compliance
Maintain service departmental feedback, determine and implement solutions for issues on-site
Ability to work well as part of a team, accept and provide feedback and instruction, as well as work independently
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required, as is 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing environment working with quality/process improvements.
Ability to understand controls and mechanical designs is desired.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels are essential. Must have strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving skills.
Experience with root cause and risk analysis methodologies desired.
Candidate must have ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and possess a willingness to make autonomous decisions.
Ability to create and drive change and effectively communicate throughout the organization.
Lean Manufacturing experience/certifications preferred
Knowledge regarding ISO 9001:2015 Standards, QMS, Quality Control in Manufacturing environments.
Project management skills a plus but not required
Familiarity with Microsoft office tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc. and SmartSheet
Detail-oriented, accurate, and timely with strong analytical skills.
Proficient in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks a plus
Experience in the air compressor industry a plus
