Description
The payroll manager will help process payroll to ensure timely and correct payroll; maintain and update all payroll systems to ensure compliance and correctness; comply with all federal, state and local tax filings; Oversee journal entries to properly post payroll expense; performs accounting controls including data reconciliations, approval flows and security procedures. Works with the payroll staff to oversee their work and ensure correctness. Provides information to upper management as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
What you need:
4 year accounting or finance degree
3 years payroll experience
Good knowledge of IRS tax regulations and understanding of employee benefit plans.
Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
Must be detail oriented and have good follow-up skills
Must have good written and verbal skills (English)
Accounting software applications
Experience with Microsoft Excel and it's pivot table functions
Preferred skills:
3 years supervision experience
Experience with large enterprise computer systems such as UKG, ADP, Workday
Experience filing payroll taxes
