TheEngineering Co-Opwill complete engineering-related tasks in support of the development and production of magnetic sensors and power magnetic products. The position will allow for exposure to aerospace technology, to the test processes, and to the manufacturing environment at Standex-Meder Electronics while aiding in the professional development of the co-op. Typical tasks will be the verification of the adherence of new parts with the specification and providing AS9102 formal aerospace written first article reports. Activities will also include the troubleshooting of returned products and collaborative efforts to solve problems and improve systems including the integration of quality management software and the use of high magnification microscopes, x-ray machine, andkeyencemeasurement systems. Will perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring


Enrolled and working towards a degree in Engineering orarelated technical field ofstudy.


General interest in fast-paced manufacturing environment, process improvement, and Lean Manufacturing


Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, visual) and ability to interact with associates at all levels of theorganization.


Mechanical aptitude with attention to detail and ability toread/understanddrawings, bill of materials, technicalbulletins.


Strong planning and organizational skills to prioritize work in support of businessgoals.


Strong computer skills withproficiencyin Microsoft Word / Excel


Familiar with 2D and/or 3D CAD packages (AutoCAD /Solidworks)


Basic Understanding of Engineering Drawings with the ability to use AutoCAD or similar CAD software to produce detaileddrawings


Ability to understand and effectively communicate complex problems andsituations


Ability to learn and use ERP (SAP) manufacturing software


Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain andmaintaina U.S. government securityclearance


Must be available to work40 hours/week, on-site and in person.
