Job Description:
Engineer - Manufacturing positions offered by First Solar, Inc. (Perrysburg, Ohio). Lead the transfer of new process/product programs from pre-production, through manufacturing qualification, to full implementation. Responsibilities include developing master schedule, developing downtime and ramp plans, managing budget, identification of key risks, coordination of activities across cross functional teams and champion programs through the change management system. Provide regular updates to a cross section of stakeholders, including GMO operations, ME sustaining and integration teams and executive leadership team.

Minimum Requirements:
The position requires a bachelor’s (or foreign equivalent) degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, or a related technical field and three years of experience in the job offered or in a solar manufacturing setting. Stated experience must include: experience in leading a technical program through the change management (CMS) system and working with subject matter experts; manage program budget, program downtime and throughput impact; coordinate activities with multiple stakeholders across all locations; coordinate execution of key engineering and qualification tests; create effective presentations and present to senior management; demonstrated knowledge of finance, OpEx., CapEx. Budget tracking and monitoring; manufacturing processes; Cycle Time, Throughput and Ramp calculations; develop qualification scorecards and track program status; and manage program timelines and schedules.
