Job Description

The Mechanical Engineering Program in the Rayen School of Engineering is seeking a faculty member to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mechanical engineering, with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Solid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Finite Element Analysis, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, and Mechanical Systems Design. 

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, including some evenings, and the possibility of some weekend days.

Minimum Qualifications: An undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering and an earned Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field by the time of appointment.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Five or more years of industrial experience. Demonstrated experience in teaching and research.
