Job Summary
H&R Tool & Machine Co. Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator / Saw Operator to support our production operations. This role involves operating industrial saws, preparing materials, performing basic machine setup, and assisting with deliveries
Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial saws including band saws, table saws, circular saws, and CNC saws
- Set up machines and perform basic calibration for production runs
- Read and interpret work orders, and cut lists
- Measure materials accurately using tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
- Cut and prepare raw materials according to specifications
- Perform quality control checks and inspect finished cuts for accuracy
- Adjust blade speed, feed rate, and cutting angles as needed
- Conduct routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting
- Safely handle, move, and lift materials
- Assist with deliveries and material transport as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Technical & Job-Specific Skills
- Knowledge of material types (metal gauges, lumber grades, plastics)
- Basic mechanical knowledge

- Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures
- Awareness of hazards around moving machinery
- Safe material handling and lifting techniques
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous machine or saw operation experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work on your feet for extended periods
