Pay Grade/Pay Rate: Pay Grade: 7 / Pay Rate $20.01 Per Hour

Employment Status: Full-time

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Delinquent Tax / Escrow Specialist:

Coordinates and calculate payment plans (e.g., delinquent payment plans, escrow payment plans, etc.); schedules appointment. Sends delinquency letters and bills. Prepare monthly bank draws; Analyzes ledgers; prints collection coupons, bills and letters; ensures correct collection amounts of taxes (e.g., delinquent taxes, escrow taxes, etc.); prepares tax reports; updates payment plan reports; prepares and updates lists (e.g., past due real estate, manufactured home taxes, manufactured home parks, etc.). Educate taxpayers on payment plans.

Cashier:

Collects property taxes; collects county pay-ins; processes and posts credit card payments; balances cash drawer; ensures balances are properly posted and accounted for; maintains access to financial data used in monitoring and processing bank withdrawals; ACH payments. Prepares tax request for Title Agency and Sheriff Sales. Answers telephone calls; drafts correspondence, performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of secondary education or equivalent (high school diploma or GED); Over two (2) years’ prior training and/or experience related to County Treasurer operations, banking, and office management; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
