JOB SUMMARY: 

The Hydraulics Service Technician must be capable of machining, ferrous and non-ferrous materials, to tight tolerance specifications, per instructions and blueprint, utilizing a variety of machine shop equipment, including manual engine lathe, horizontal boring mill, vertical boring mill, horizontal saw, overhead crane, forklift, and other related equipment & tooling. CNC experience is a plus but not required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate minimum
  • Three - Five years of machine shop experience is desired, preferably in a repair or equipment maintenance-related environment, though other industry experience will be considered. 

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Must be proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, and indicators, among others. 
  • Requires exercising good judgment and utilizing best machining practices.
  • Requires attention to detail and ability to read blueprints.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pull. Standing/Sitting Up and downstairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines. Dexterity Normal. Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
