About the Job

Calling all maintenance specialists who are passionate about making a difference! Join Staffmark for an exciting opportunity as a Maintenance Assistant in Vandalia, OH, where you'll be part of a team specializing in sustainable plastic packaging.

Pay rate: $28 - $32 per hour

Schedules available: 12-hour rotating 2-2-3 shifts, 7:00am-7:30pm and 7:00pm-7:30am

Responsibilities:

Set up and install proprietary company equipment for production readiness

Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure functionality and extend equipment life

Adjust machinery as needed to enhance performance and meet production specifications

Utilize predictive maintenance techniques to identify potential issues before causing downtime

Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with molding machines, applying a systematic approach

Perform machine repairs independently or with guidance to restore functionality and reduce production disruptions

Support general facility maintenance and contribute to maintaining a safe, organized work environment

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent; 2-year technical degree or relevant experience preferred

Proficient in Industrial Maintenance Safety, including knowledge of 3-phase power, low voltage, and industrial controls

Ability to read basic blueprints and schematics, with foundational skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, and occupational math

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
